Dear Members,

IWA celebrated its 32 nd anniversary on 8 th May, 2007. A lunch was organized on this occasion at Restaurant Bombay Blue.

‘Pick the Sweets' was played and the winner was Vanita Srinivasan. Enchanting embroidery is a talent which one of our Committee Members, Nanda Vichare, posses and in abundance. An exhibition of sarees and pictures embroidered by her was arranged at the restaurant. The collection was awe inspiring. Napkin folding was demonstrated by Pak Erwan. Table napkins were given to all and Pak Erwan demonstrated three different types of folding a napkin. After this, we played a game of Bollywood Bingo. The lucky winners were Kavita Mahtani, Suchita Mukhi, Nisha Ashok, Aparna Narang, Nanda Vichare, Anjali Nandwani and Neelan Vasandhani.

A lucky draw was taken out after lunch and Sunita Badam was chosen the Anniversary Queen.

IWA registered 5 new members on that day. We welcomeTapashi Dey, Tanuja Kelwani, Kanta Kalwani, Sandhya Kalwani and Aruna Harjani to the IWA family.

The function was attended by 43 members and 6 guests.

JUNE ‘07

The long school holidays have started and with this in mind, we have decided to keep entertainment programme for children in June. We are arranging a lot of games and a Fancy Dress Competition for children. For this, please register the name of your child with any one of our Committee Members. Members and non-members, all are welcome to join this programme. So bring not only your children but also your friend's children for the function.

Date: Tuesday, 12 th June,'07 Time: 10.30 a.m.

Venue: Graha Sindhu, Jl. Samanhudi No. 31, Jakarta Pusat Ph. 34832751

Fees: Rp. 10,000/- for all children (Members'& Guests') & Rp.20,000/- for adult guests

We would need volunteers for arranging the games. We request our members to come forward and give their names to any one of our Committee Members.

GOOD BYE

Our Secretary, Sugandhi Gopalakrishnan is leaving IWA as she is shifting to India for her children's education. During her association with the Committee, her contribution to IWA has been commendable. We would like to thank her for all her efforts and wish her all the best in her future life.

REQUEST:

To make the meetings more interesting we invite suggestion from the members. We also request the members who have special talents to come forward and unveil these talents at our meetings.
