January, 2005
Dear Members,
Happy New Year to each one of you!!!! Let us all pray that the
disaster which has affected 12 countries ends with that year and 2005
will be a year of Peace & Joy to everyone. May God Bless all the
Tsunami victims who were injured or lost their relatives & friends.
Our November ‘04 meeting, the ‘Joke Morning’ at Queen’s Restaurant was
attended by 54 ladies. Jokes were told by Mrs. Rekha Tekchandani, Mrs.
Gopi Panjabi, Mrs. Rajini Ghanshyam, Ms. Angelie, Mrs. Sunitha, Mrs.
Lovely Walia, Mrs. Suchita Mukhi, Mrs. Gauri Maheshwari, Ms. Heena,
Mrs. Neha, Mrs. Veena, who kept the audience rolling in laughter.
We played Bingo and congratulations
to Mrs. Kripa Bhatia, Mrs. Sapna Kalwani,
Mrs. Karishma Chugani, Mrs. Deepa Vasandani, Mrs. Veena Jethnani, Mrs.
Rachna Muthreja, the winners that morning. Mrs. Sunitha Babani & Mrs.
Kripa Bhatia won the door prize & Mrs. Jaya Fulwani was crowned as the
Diwali Queen.
As a humble request to you all, we would really appreciate if members
could put in effort to participate in our events, which are organized
by our Entertainment committee. Suggestions are also welcome for new
ideas to be used in future meetings.
JANUARY MEETING:
For our forthcoming meeting we have decided to start the year in a
very healthy way with “SALAD MORNING”! We will demonstrate a few
different salads, which are healthy for everyone to include in their
diet. The details are as follows:

SOCIAL WELFARE:
All of us are aware of the disaster that has hit many areas. We have
donated to the effected areas 40 cartons biscuits, 100 cartons Milk,
used clothes and necessities, which was flown into Aceh by Ms. Inong
Roesdi, an Achenese lady who sent out all different things that were
needed there within 5 days of the disaster.
Our regular charity for Lebaran & X’mas were given out to:

Cipto Hospital – Sarung;
-
Donny –Handicapped child – gifted
him Clothes, biscuits, milk & Sanitary;
-
Usaha Mulia – Donated Rice, milk
biscuits, sarung & Napkins;
-
Pusaka VI – donated rice, Biscuits,
& Balm;
-
Surya Wijata – donated Batik
uniforms for children & teachers.
Special Donations were given out to
– Yayasan Al Mukblish donated carpets; Yayasan Al Islar donated
Blankets; Pusaka Abrol donated food containers. We hope to continue
with all our charity work as usual and will hope to be able to reach
out to more needy people around us.
