Dear Members,

This summer has been really hot for those who stayed back in Jakarta! Due to school holidays many members were out of the country, so we had a small group of ladies with their children for our last meeting in June. We had organized a Fun Mela with a few game stalls. Also played Dumsharat where mother and child were a team and the winners were: Heena - Vishika, Manisha – Chiraag, Taposhi - Mantosh and Nimita – Vitika, & Bingo was played by all present there and the winners were : Ishaan Mahtani, Manisha Mangwani, Diya Nagpal, Sahil Mahtani and Rahul Walia. The added attraction was the fancy dress competition for children, we had 12 children participating and the winners were:- 1st prize: Vishika Ghianchandani as Jinny, Chirag Mangwani as Police man and Mantosh Dey as flower. The 2nd prize winners were : Anjali Topandasani as Rani Mukherjee, Sahil Mahtani as Dragon and Ishaan Mahtani as skeleton.

Congratulations to all the winners!!!!!

Snacks were served by IWA & Saira Jethnani, and thanks to Mrs. Laxmi Punjabi for contributing delicious Samosas.

We welcome Mrs. Kumkum Saran into our IWA Family who joint IWA in our June meeting.

JULY ‘07

Holidays are coming to an end, and its time to get back to a little health awareness about our SMILE!!!!

For July we have a well Known Dental Surgeon, Dr. Lilik Indrawati (Vivin), from the Smile Works Dental Care Clinic who has very willingly agreed to come and discuss about dental care and will also have a question answer session with ladies present on -

SCHOLARSHIP REPORT

During the month of May 2007 out of 15 students under our Scholarship scheme three students have been graduated successfully. From the month of June 2007 we are sponsoring 18 students from different universities and 2 students are under consideration which will make this number to our targeted 20 students for 2007.

Looking forward to enhance our scholarship activities to the needy student from the high schools. We have been assigned 10 students for new school session starting July 2007-2011. Under this programme IWA will pay school fees Rp.40.000/ per child every month.

We would like to have more participation from our members to come forward and sponsor more students in near future. At present we have 11 sponsors and we thank them all for their continous support in this nobel cause.
