Dear Members,

We celebrated Valentine’s Day on 14th Feb. 06 at our Committee Member Laju’s place. All the ladies were wearing valentine colors. The variety of colors made the gathering appear vibrant. Our agenda was a demonstration of soup recipes. Three types of soups were prepared. To start with, Sapna Khubchandani demonstrated valentine soup and Veena Jethnani demonstrated two other kind of soups; Garlic & Chive Potato Soup and Hot & Sour Soup. There was a lucky draw to decide the Valentine Queen and Mrs. Laxmi K. Jamthani was declared the winner. The Valentine Queen was adorned with a sash and a crown and later she cut the cake.

A sumptuous meal followed after the cake cutting. Everybody got to savor the soups demonstrated by our members. Recipes of the soups were distributed to all present.

The meeting was attended by 67 members and 7 guests. IWA registered 9 new members. We extend a warm welcome to Jyoti Singh, Abha Bhurat, Poonam Kewalramani, Sapna Mahgugani, Priya Ravi, Divya Ramesh, Shanti Sarda, Lata Bhise and Jyoti Daswani and hope they will enjoy being a part of IWA.

The food was brought by Nisha Ashok, Laju, Saira and Rachna Dasani. The cake was contributed by Sunita Goplakhwani.

As the food will be catered from a restaurant, we would appreciate if people could confirm their attendance latest by 4th March to Nisha Ashok (ph. 0817897611) so that we can advise the caterer.
The food will be catered by Restaurant Ganesha. Members who attend without prior confirmation will be required to pay Guest Charge of Rp.75,000/-.

Condolence

Our Committee Member, Aparna Narang lost her brother-in-law and Padma Borthakur lost her mother last month. Our heart felt condolences to the bereaved families. May the departed soul rest in peace and God give them the strength to bear this loss.

Scholarship Report

Our Scholarship programme is now sponsoring 11 university students. These students are now doing vocational courses which in the long term will help them to earn a living for themselves. This good cause has been successful thanks a million to all the sponsors who understand how important it is to help others.
