Program Background:
Indians have been living for
decades in Indonesia have made an impact in society in more
ways than is commonly understood by the expatriate and local
population of Indonesia. Many Indians are successful
businessmen, entrepreneurs, executives or contributing to arts
and cultural scene in the major cities of Indonesia. India
Talks is a program that features these shining personalities
that have made interesting news by the activities they are
engaged in. The program also aims to keep viewers abreast of
the latest developments, events and activities within the
Indian community and serves as an interface for other
communities to learn more about and start interacting with the
Indian community in Indonesia.
Additionally, there is very limited English language program
productions originating out of Indonesia and India Talks is
the first of a series of English programs aimed at the English
speaking audiences of cable and satellite television services.
India Talks is the second community program on Q Channel. An
Indonesian community program called Crème de la Crème is
currently being produced in collaboration with the Indonesian
Tattler magazine, and we are soon launching similar programs
for the US, Australian, Japanese, Chinese and Korean
communities. India Talks is produced by Q Channel in
collaboration with IndoIndians.Com, a community portal aimed
at serving the Indian community in Indonesia.
Objectives of India Talks:

awareness of the Indian Community living in Indonesia

To feature newsmakers from this
community

To feature the events and
activities of this community.
In other words, “Enable and
empower ethnic communities with a media platform that helps
them interact with one another”
The program is aimed to be fun, informative and spontaneous.
Hosted by Poonam Sagar and supported by TEMPO English
magazine. The program will offer SMS/email quiz and games to
attract viewer interest. Broadcast time, starting June 2005-
00:00 hrs Saturday, 12:00 hrs Sunday, 10:00 hrs Tuesday
As a very broad guideline, the show will cover the following
topics.
25% - About your background, family, educational, work
experience, etc.
50% - About your recent activity that has made you newsworthy
25% - About your other hobbies, interests, motivators, role
models, philosophy,
