TITOBA Indonesia


“TITOBA” is an informal grouping of Indian Textile graduates from Technological Institute of Textile & Science, Bhiwani, Haryana, India. The Institute itself is one of the oldest and most reputed Textile Teaching and Research Institute in India. This is the only Textile Institute in Asia probably the world, which is attached to a running commercial scale Textile Mill, hence during studies, students get an opportunity to study in the first half and see the things practically in the second half of the professional course. This  enables  them to learn things in a more appropriate way . The Institute was the vision of renowned Industrialist , Late Mr. G.D.Birla.  It was established in 1946 <before Indian independence> and was associated with The Textile Institute, Manchester (UK). All graduates are even today by default recognised by the The Textile Institute , Manchester as equivalent to the UK degree.  Birla Education Trust, Pilani (Rajasthan) runs the Institute.

“TITOBA” stand for TIT Old Boys Association and was started in 1960 in India. It has developed  branches in India as well as overseas like USA, Indonesia, Nigeria, Bangkok and many more over the years.

"TITOBA Indonesia" was started in 1999 and groups the graduates from TIT, working in Indonesia. It is a great credit to this Institute that 60 people are working in Indonesia as Textile Experts in 40 different Textile enterprise in Indonesia. Probably, this is the single largest professional group from a single Textile Institute working in Indonesia from anywhere in the world.

All TIT Undergraduates and their family are free to join this " TITOBA Indonesia"  as Members at a nominal cost basis. TITOBA Indonesia is associated with other Indian and international TITOBA organisations . TITOBA is providing basic technical help on Textile Technology / by members at nominal cost basis to business enterprise of  Indonesian  & Indian origin. The aim is to uplift the quality standards of textile products and processes. TITOBA has plan to publish a Global Directory and some information which might be useful to Textile Industry in general. An effort is also been made to write some book in Indonesian language to help dissipate technical knowledge and  share the same in Textile field with our Indonesian friends.
