Good luck charms and
Feng Shui
|
|
According to the Chinese, white and blue
flowers signify death and misfortune, however bright red flowers such as
geraniums, poppies and roses bring great happiness.
|
|
Wind chimes are used in Feng Shui to attract
good spirits and disperse bad energy. However, for this to work, your
wind chimes must be constructed out of hollow -- not solid -- tubes. The
idea is that the "winds of misfortune" are transformed into
music inside each small flute.

|
Have a small aquarium with eight goldfish
and one black fish in it.According to
the rules of Feng Shui, if one fish dies you are to rejoice, because it
means that the fish has symbolically absorbed some disaster that was
originally supposed to happen to you. You don't have to have nine fish,
you can have as little as three, as long as it's an odd number.
|
|
Have a small replica of a frog painted
bright red (the colour of strength and vitality) and in its mouth is a
small eight-sided Chinese coin with a jewel in the center, also meant to
attract money into the house.
|
|
Place a Jade Plant, referred to loosely by
the Chinese as a "money plant" to -- you guessed it -- bring
more money into the house.
|
|
In the career (north) and financial
(southwest) sectors of your house, hang a couple of Chinese "money
balls" -- a ball constructed of up to nine coins suspended from a
tasseled red thread. The Chinese are wild about old coins, and a handful
of them scattered on your bills is supposed help take care of your
debts.
|
|
The three statues representing Fuk, Luk and
Sau -- the gods of wealth, high rank and longevity, respectively. These
statues must be placed on the highest shelf in your home to avoid
insulting their honour and having their benevolence towards you - gulp!
- reversed.
