Indian Artists Network

8th Paintings exhibition in Jakarta, Indonesia
By 50 award winning artists from all over India

What is SmartBetsIndia?

Indian Artists network is run by artists themselves and no one else is involved except artists for all our activities but when we realised that apart from decorative and pleasing appeal of the art, it should also offer investment potential to art lovers and investors, we decided to float SmartBetsIndia as another entity which has nothing to do with artists. SmartBetsIndia consists of art investors / banking and stock market experts and corporate advisors who understands Art and the intricacies of art market in India and abroad and advise us on what should be promoted as investment proposal through our Indian art exhibitions outside India.

Indian artists Network presents all entries that are submitted to us for our exhibition to SmartBetsIndia and then they will decide on certain artists who they think are highly creative and promising artists who have potential as an Art investment in long term.

SmartBetsIndia advise us free of charge and we provide them new artists for evaluation without any fee. Both serve each other in the best interest of artists and both entities. This should give us an added advantage in our exhibitions outside India.

How artists are benefitted through our exhibitions?

How we sell our art in our exhibition is a revolutionary concept and it is gaining high popularity amongst Indian artists all over India. More and more highly creative artists are joining us every year and we are growing at fast pace because of our 100% transparency and sincerity to promote Indian artists.

We put each artist’s email address and cell phone number on the price tags of each painting that we display in our exhibitions. These are the artists who have paid money as contributions to cover the cost of exhibition. Any art buyer can communicate with our artists and negotiate the price directly with the artists. Indian Artists Network never interfere in pricing and contributing artists are free to talk to art buyers.

Some artists are poor but highly creative and they donate their paintings to us instead of money. We retain the money after selling such painting. In case of following artists we create their own email address in their names and reply to all the queries from art buyers. 1)Artists who donate their paintings 2)Artists who can’t use internet and emails.3)Artists who can not speak or communicate in English. We handle all such sales of paintings. 4)Artists who are not interested in talking to art buyers and have given us right to talk to art buyers on their behalf to negotiate the price and sell the artwork of artists. Entire procedure is 100% transparent and made clear to each artist.

What has been achieved by Indian artists so far?

  1. Bringing India and Indonesia is a far more important to us than selling just paintings. Eight successful exhibitions in Indonesia have created awareness about Indian art to Indonesian art lovers and art buyers.

  2. More than 70 paintings of artists who participated in our previous exhibitions in Indonesia were sold to Korean art promoters last year and that too without any commission to anyone. All paintings were sold by artists directly to art promoters in Korea and no commission was paid to anyone including us.

We just facilitated the contacts between Koreans and our artists.

  1. Exhibitions in Indonesia has become our main activity as a launching pad for artists and our name and fame is spreading all over the world because of these exhibitions in Indonesia. Koreans came to know about us because of our exhibition in Indonesia. We have many offers from many countries to hold our exhibitions but these are highly expensive proposals, we are planning to hold those exhibitions only when we are financially strong and have sponsors.

  2. We distributed excellent catalogues of artists in Art Singapore where we participated last year and results are astonishing. All artists contact details were printed in our catalogues and many artists were directly contacted by art buyers from various countries and their art is being bought by art galleries and art buyers from many countries.

  3. This year because of our efforts 15 Indian artists were selected for Olympic Art events in China which will be held simultaneously during the World Olympics games in Beijing in China. None of these artists were aware of such events but because of communications, all these artists could send their entries and got selected for the world art event. None of these artists are famous outside India and we are pleased to give them a bigger world art platform.

We have sent same info to Indonesian and British artists too and to our surprise one Indonesian and one British artist has also sent us email that they have been selected for Olympic art event.

  1. We are saving money in order to build an Old age home cum Art school in India where any old but financially poor artists from anywhere in India can stay without paying anything in their fag end of their lives. Many brilliant but poor artists die in worst situations because of poor financial conditions. We have already purchased a 10000 sq.ft plot near Mumbai for the same and this will be given FREE to any Indian industrialist or a businessman here in Indonesia if they help us in building an Old age home cum Art school.

  2. Slowly many more art lovers are realising our sincere efforts and we expect Indian business community here to come forward to help us in our next exhibition in Indonesia. We are looking for sponsors for paying art gallery charges/Framing/publicity in mass media/printing catalogues and invitation cards. I am sure many such sponsors will come forward next year to help us.

  3. Because of our massive communications efforts, we have created a strong network of Indonesian friends who help us in small ways but that support is extremely crucial for us as holding an exhibition outside India is a massive task.We are extremely thankful to all Indonesian friends who help us every year in arrangement of the exhibition.

  4. We have created a strong working relationship with Jawaharlal Nehru Indian Cultural centre in Jakarta and Indian Embassy who are who help us in putting up this big exhibition and make it a big success. We are extremely thankful to our Indian Ambasador Mr.Biren Nanda and Director of JNICC Mr.M.K.Singh whose dynamic leadership will bring India and Indonesia closer in many fields in coming years.

  5. We use internet extensively and regularly to inform all Indian artists about various world art events / exhibitions / exchange programmes / seminars / scholarships / competitions etc and many artists are benefitted from the same

  6. We are based in Mumbai and we help any artist coming to Mumbai to exhibit for their media exposure / framing and all related help.

  7. Art galleries in India watch us carefully and mark the new artists that we expose every year. Art galleries have limited access to artists all over India but we see that

Artists from even remotest parts of India get information as well as select them for exhibitions. Many poor artists are given exposure in our exhibitions and many artists are benefitting for the same. Many artists who were totally unknown to India are now recognised because of all our efforts.

Our activity in Indonesia is being recognised by whole artists fraternity now and more and more artists are joining us in our exhibition in Indonesia

  8. We are also ready to help any Indonesian artists to exhibit in India but there is not much response from Indonesian artists. We had many meetings with many Indonesian artists but apart from initial talk nothing much has happened till now but we are hopeful that in future many Indonesian artists can exhibit in India too.

There is a possibility of a joint exhibition of Indonesian and Artists from Shantiniketan in Kolkata to revive the historical relationship of Great Indonesian artist Mr.Affandi and great Indian poet Gurudev Ravindranath Tagore.Unless some Indonesian artists / organisations take initiative in this matter, it is simply not possible to arrange such exhibition which will require lots of efforts for one full year.

Following award winning artists are participating in this year’s exhibition in Jakarta

Thanking you
