Placement & Secondment Division
This Division offers its services for placement of international students in Indian Institutions and Secondment of Indian experts/faculty to abroad.

Placement
EdCIL ( India) Limited is the `Nodal Agency' of the Government of India for the promotion of Indian Education abroad and is the “Single Window Service Provider” for the placement of Foreign Students, Non Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) in Premier Indian Technical Institutions (viz. National Institutes of Technology-NITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions such as Indian Institutes of Information Technology-IIITs) and Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. The students placed by EdCIL ( India) Limited also include selffinancing students and those sponsored by Foreign Governments /multilateral funding agencies. For the purpose of placement, EdCIL ( India) Limited is associated with a number of Foreign Governments and leading Indian Institutions such as Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM), Agricultural Universities under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and many more institutions spread all across the country. EdCIL ( India) Limited is also the implementing agency of Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs-Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children.

Secondment
EdCIL ( India) Limited also offers its services for Secondment of Indian experts/faculties to abroad. The scope of services of EdCIL ( India) Limited in Secondment area is to identify, select, recruit and provide logistics support to enable experts to take-up assignment in client countries. EdCIL's capabilities to recruit the right person for the right job in a time bound manner has ensured increasing number of repeat requests from existing clients and significant addition of new clients. So far EdCIL ( India) Limited has successfully executed number of secondment projects in countries like Botswana, Ethiopia, Malaysia, Oman, Jordan, Kenya, Rwanda, Singapore, Turkey, Yemen, USA, etc.

EdCIL (India) Limited Services for the Placement of International Students
It includes following activities:

Advising Students about Indian Education.
Identifying appropriate courses /institutions to meet students needs.
Arranging provisional admission offer from the institutions.
Facilitating statutory approvals & VISA formalities.
Facilitating arrival/departure of students. Arranging preparatory /bridge courses , if required. Liaison between Institutions & parents and acting as a local guardian.
Post admission assistance to the students.
Regular monitoring of progress of the students during his/her studies.

EdCil (India) Limited Services for Secondment of Indian Experts/Faculty abroad
It includes following activities:

Preparation of job profiles for different levels of teachers/experts required to be recruited.
Identify, recruit, draw a panel, subject to client's approval for various anticipated requirements.
Conduct an exclusive search for prospective candidates through various modes including contacting select institutions.
Liaise with and be responsible to the officer designate, to be nominated by the client who acts in the conveyance of instructions from client.
Provide facilities for screening of applications and their first level shortlisting.
Constitute selection committee's post-wise in consultation with the Client.
Make arrangements for necessary interview at EdCIL (India) Limited office with candidates who have been ascertained as suitable for further considerations.
Conduct interviews and prepare a panel of suitable candidates; and
Receipt of offers of appointment from the client and coordinate with selected candidates for joining the course including signing of “service contract”.
