To all members of the Indian community in Indonesia

1. In view of the recent terrorists attacks in the U.S and the likelihood of the ensuing military operations in our neighbourhood, Indian Embassies, property, and personnel abroad have become potential targets in the future. Accordingly, the Government of India has directed all Indian offices abroad, to take suitable precautionary measures against possible terrorist attacks. Henceforth, the entry into the premises of the Indian Embassy will have to be strictly regulated and this will cause some inconvenience to esteemed members of the Indian community. We would earnestly request you to please bear with us.
2. It will henceforth not be possible to admit non-diplomatic and private vehicles beyond the gates of the Embassy. Parking of vehicles will have to be on the outer perimeter of the Chancery. Entry in to the Chancery premises will have to be regulated with issue of the Visitor’s card. We take this opportunity to solicit your help and cooperation to enable the security staff to carry out their assigned duties in compliance with new regulations as well as for your own safety.
3. For your convenience, we suggest that prior appointment may please be taken for visit to the Embassy so that the security staff could be advised to facilitate your visit.
