Make Your Dad
a Hedgehog Pen Holder

You Will Need :
	Paper Clay
	Paints
	Paint Brush
	PVA Glue
	Blunt instrument for adding decoration
	( ask mum to help you use it )

How to do it ?

Step 1
	Unwrap paper clay and soften it in your hands, adding water where necessary.

Step 2
	Mould the base shape of the hedgehog into an oval, making one pointy end. Roll a little ball of clay and add it to the pointed end, making the hedgehog's nose.

Step 3
	Pinch the clay to create four legs for the hedgehog (if you want to go traditional).

Step 4
	Using a pencil or blunt instrument, make shallow holes in the hedgehog's back (about 3 cm deep). Twist pencil/blunt instrument around so that the hole opens up a bit (this is for putting the pencils in once the clay and paint have dried).

Step 5
	Paint the hedgehog, adding whatever details you want.

Final Step
	Varnish the entire area with PVA glue and leave it to dry for 24 hours, out of dad's prying eyes of course !

NOTE :

Make sure you have a small cup of water handy so as not to let the clay dry out. Use the water sparingly. Do not over wet the clay, as it will crumble.
