Kehtaa Hai Dil Baar Baar

This inspired version of Robert De Niro- Ben Stillers Meet the Parents fails to make an impression.

Ranchodlal Patel (Paresh Rawal) is a US settled Gujarati businessman who calls himself Roger Patel. He has two daughters Dr. Ritu Patel (Kim Sharma) and Toral Patel (Toral Mehta) who would not do anything to harm their father. Like any father Roger too is worried about his daughters marriage. He hopes that his son-in-law will be a typical Gujarati businessman. Ritu meets Sunder Kapoor (Jimmy Shergill) who runs a mobile resturant called India on wheels. Ritu hates Sunder initially. But later falls in love with him.

When she takes him home to meet her father all hell breaks loose. Roger's dream of the typical Gujarati son-in-law is shattered. Ritu tells Sunder not to give up hope and that if he pampered and massaged his father's ego, he'd finally given to their marriage. Ritu invites Sunder to spend a week in their house so that he can win her father over. Poor Sunder always goofs up while pleasing his father-in-law and thus begins comedy of terror where one is looking out for opportunities to put the other down.
