TROPICAL
FRUIT SMOOTHIE
|
Here's a great breakfast or
after-workout cooler that's ready in seconds and tastes as
good as one you'd get at a juice bar.
1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
1 large banana, peeled, cut into pieces
1/2 cup guava nectar
1/2 cup coconut-pineapple nectar or juice
4 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in
blender and blend until smooth. Divide between 2 glasses and
serve.

Lassi is a
refreshing yogurt drink that is very popular in its
native India and Pakistan.
4 cups well-chilled
plain yogurt
1 cup fresh coriander sprigs, washed well, spun dry, and
chopped coarse
1 tablespoon chopped peeled fresh gingerroot
1 fresh serrano chili, seeded and chopped (wear rubber
gloves)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
In a blender blend
together lassi ingredients until smooth and pale green,
about 1 minute. Serve lassi in chilled glasses.
Makes about 9 cups.
