Tip: Lunges

Benefits from doing lunges include stronger
Gluteus Maximus muscles (Buttocks muscle), and for strengthening
Quads and various other muscles to help execute the movement.
It is important to have the legs far enough apart (forward and
back) so that when moving down towards the floor the knee joint
stays in alignment with the ankle joint.
It is also important to raise
the heel of the back foot off the floor throughout the exercise.
In order to get the Gluteus Maximus muscle functioning and firing
it is crucial to push down through the heel of the front foot
on the way up. Sometimes lifting the toes in the front foot
can help to activate the Gluteus Maximus muscle putting the
weight into the heel more. Lunges are effective for strengthening
Buttocks when done correctly.
