Frozen
daiquiri
- 2 ounces light rum
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/2 ounce Rose's lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon superfine sugar
- 1 cup crushed ice
Put all ingredients in a blender and
frapp‚ until the mixture has the consistency of slush. Serve
immediately in a margarita glass, with a short straw.

Mai
tai
- 2 ounces dark rum
- 1/2 ounce cura‡ao
- 1/2 ounce apricot brandy
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
- 3 or 4 ice cubes
- Pineapple spear
Combine all ingredients, except the
pineapple, in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Strain into a
cocktail glass and garnish with the pineapple.

Frozen
margarita
- 1 jigger (1 1/2 ounces)
tequila
- 1 jigger (1 1/2 ounces) fresh
lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon superfine
granulated sugar
- 1 pony (1 ounce) triple sec or
Cointreau
- 5 ice cubes
Rub the rim of a margarita glass
with a lime wedge and dip it in a bowl of salt to lightly coat it.
Chill the glass. In a blender, frapp‚ the ingredients, including
the ice cubes, for 30 seconds. Pour into the glass.

Planter's
punch
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 teaspoons superfine sugar
- Finely crushed ice
- 2 to 3 ounces rum
- 2 dashes angostura bitters
- 2 ounces club soda
- Slice orange
- Slice lemon
- Pineapple spear
- Maraschino cherry
Muddle the lime juice and sugar in a
small glass until the sugar is dissolved. Fill a Collins glass
with crushed iced to the _ mark and stir until glass is frosted.
Add lime juice, rum, bitters and club soda and stir to mix.
Garnish with fruit.

Kamikaze
- 1 1/2 ounces vodka
- 1 ounce Cointreau
- 1 ounce lime juice
Stir all the ingredients in a shaker
half-filled with ice; strain into a highball glass filled with
ice. Garnish with a lime twist.

Sangria
This refreshing summer punch
recipe makes about 20 servings.
- 2 bottles chilled dry red wine
- 1 cup cognac
- 1/2 cup triple sec
- 1/3 cup superfine granulated
sugar, or to taste
- 1 orange, sliced thin
- 1 lemon, sliced thin
- 2 cups chilled seltzer or club
soda
In a large bowl, combine wine,
cognac, triple sec and sugar, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Add the orange and lemon slices and chill for at least one hour
(can be prepared a day ahead). Transfer to a punch bowl, stir in
seltzer and add a block of ice or ice cubes.

Lemon
vodka gimlet
- 1 jigger (1 1/2 ounces)
lemon-flavored vodka
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon Rose's lime juice
- Lime twist
Mix together vodka, fresh lime juice
and Rose's lime juice in an old-fashioned glass. Fill the glass
with ice cubes and garnish with a twist of lime.

Champagne
cocktail
- 6 ounces chilled champagne
- 1 cube sugar
- Angostura bitters
Soak the sugar cube with the
angostura bitters. Place it in the bottom of a champagne flute and
fill with champagne. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Metropolitan
- 1 1/2 ounces gin
- 1 1/2 ounces chilled cranberry
juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Lemon twist
Combine all ingredients in a
cocktail shaker half-filled with ice and shake well. Strain into a
chilled, stemmed cocktail glass and garnish with a twist of lemon.

Sazerac
- 1 dash Pernod
- 1 dash Peychaud bitters
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 ounces rye whiskey
Coat a chilled old-fashioned glass
with Pernod, pouring out any that remains. Muddle sugar and
bitters until sugar is dissolved. Add whiskey and serve with a
swizzle stick. This drink is traditionally served without ice.

Negroni
- 1 1/2 ounces gin
- 1 1/2 ounces sweet vermouth
- 1 1/2 ounces Campari
- Orange slice
Combine all ingredients in a shaker
half-filled with ice. Strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish
with an orange slice.

- 1 teaspoon sugar

- 3/4 ounce Midori
- 3/4 ounce vodka
- 4 ounces orange juice
- Maraschino cherry
Stir Midori, vodka and orange juice
with ice. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Garnish
