India Talks
with Dada JP Vaswani
Poonam Sagar

Rita Thakur, from Sadhu Vaswani mission
, Jakarta has been a regular visitor at Indoindians.com and
lets us know of all the events at the center. So when she called to
let us know about the visit of Dada JP Vaswani this year, we enquired
if we could have an opportunity to have him on the India Talks Show.
Finally, this was organized on a Saturday morning at Rita's house. A
large crew from Qtv with 3 cameras, sound system and lights setup a
room for the recording.
Since it was a Saturday morning, the kids were at home and I insisted
that they and my husband too get ready and come to meet Dadaji and see
me in action. It was a major rush trying to organize my outfit and
shooing my daughter from the dressing table. Finally after much
nagging and shouting all of us rushed to the car much later than
planned.
Once in the car, the thought of the upcoming talk show filled me with
apprehension and I wondered aloud on what questions I could put
forward to Dadaji. My voluble son said that my first question should
be on how I should manage my anger and this was fully supported by my
husband. This was followed by being told as to how this was not
something I need to worry about as I always has something to ask and
say.
The driver could not find the house based on the address and after
many phone call and roadside enquiries we finally reached Rita's
house. I was the last one there. The crew was waiting all ready for
the shoot. Many other members of the Sadhu vaswani center were present
too. I hurriedly brushed my hair and sat on one of the two chairs and
did my sound test and awaited the arrival of Dadaji.
He soon walked in the door and you could sense the change in the
atmosphere, which became much calmer and peaceful. My kids had the
opportunity to touch his feet and be in his presence for a few minutes
and left for home leaving me without my desired audience.
Dadaji walked towards the other chair and his presence was like aura
of light. He was much shorter than I had imagined with clear piercing
eyes, glowing skin and beautiful teeth revealed in the most perfect
smile. It was so overwhelming to be in his presence. I thanked him for
the opportunity and he thanked me in return and his humility and
gentleness left me lost for words. At that moment I decided that I
would let him guide the show and relaxed. In this process did not get
to ask the question which my family most wanted to know - Anger
management. The recording was finished within 30 minutes and he spoke
about women empowerment, education and most importantly God. His
message was that we as individuals need to turn back to God and not
have our backs to God. If He is in front of us than the darkness is
behind us we live in the light however, if we have our back to God,
then our life is in darkness.
He then gave me a book and some...chocolates. Dadaji then retired to
his room and the entire crew and audience was treated to a wonderful
lunch.
On my way back home, I picked up Dadaji's book and flipped it open
randomly. It opened on a page titled: How to manage your Anger...
