    Located in the area of Alas Purwo National Park, Banyuwangi, this beach has various 6 to 8 meters high swells. Also known as G-Land, the swells in Plengkung Beach is dubbed as the world’s second best swells after Hawaii. The swells in Plengkung have 7 rolls with 5 minutes interval due to the pressures from South Pole. Aside from the challenging swells and breaks, Plengkung Beach is also famous for its beautiful scenery with lush trees and clean beach.

The environment is a paradise with its heavy left hander and barrels—if you are an inexperienced surfer you may want to think twice before come to this spot. Unfortunately the place is pretty remote so if you really want to visit Ombak Tujuh make sure you bring all of the supplies needed for camping.

    Watu Karung is also dubbed as the paradise for surfers. Watu Karung has exceptional waves, as this beach is the type of reef break with the reef seabed. At some moments that creates perfect and challenging barrels for surfers. Both surfers with natural and goofy style can surf here, as this beach has left and right waves. April to October is the perfect time if you want to say hello to the waves here. Don’t forget to bring your own surfboard as there is no surfboard rental around.

  6. Lagundri Bay, Nias

    Lagundri Bay is a horseshoe shaped bay at the southern end of the island of Nias, Sumatera. It is popular tourist destination and a noted surf break. The main break in Lagundri Bay, often also called “The Point”, “Soraki Point”, or “Nias” is a barreling right-hander breaking over reef along the western side of the bay. The wave characteristics of “The Point” have long been considered as world-class waves and make it as the one of the most favorite destination for surfers from all around the world.

  7. The Desert Point, Lombok desert point

    Lombok is also known for its best secret surf point, The Desert Point. A long walled and incredibly hollow left hander that on its day can break up to 300 meters, growing in size from takeoff to the end. Barrels of 20 seconds have been filmed there and 10 second tubes are common. The Desert Point is not suitable for beginner surfer as the waves are considerably dangerous.
