Creamy Yogurt with Fresh Strawberries & Crunchy Granola
Starting the day with a healthy and delicious breakfast can make a big difference in our energy levels and mood. One increasingly popular option is Homemade Yogurt with Strawberry and Granola — a perfect combination of smooth, homemade yogurt, the refreshing taste of fresh strawberries, and the crunchy texture of fiber-rich granola.
Ingredients:
- a half gallon of milk
- about a half cup of plain yogurt.
How to Make It:
1. Heat the milk in a stainless pot over low heat until it reaches 45°C, stirring constantly. Turn off the heat and let the milk cool down to 40°C. Then mix it with plain yogurt and stir well.
2. Pour the milk into a glass container, wrap it with a towel to keep it warm. Check it every 3 hours. If it cools down, boil water in a pot, turn off the heat, and place the yogurt container in the hot water for about 10 minutes.
3. Let it sit for 20 to 24 hours to set. Your homemade yogurt is ready to enjoy!
4. Once set, place in refrigerator. You can strain in a muslin cloth to get thick greek style yogurt or eat as is.

*Fun fact:
Yogurt has natural probiotics that help with digestion, while strawberries are full of antioxidants and vitamin C. Granola adds crunch and gives you energy from fiber, whole grains, and nuts. For protein, 1 glass of low-fat milk gives about 8 grams, and 1 cup of fat-free Greek yogurt has around 20 grams.
