About EcoYouth

In a world where many wait for the “right time” to create change, EcoYouth Foundation stands as a reminder that impact doesn’t require a big organisation — just a small group of passionate young people with the drive to act.

Founded by Bhavish Adwani in January 2019 while he was a student at SP Jain School of Global Management in Singapore, EcoYouth began as a sustainability club inspired by a professor who encouraged hands-on action. Today, it continues to thrive as a youth-led collective based in Jakarta, Indonesia, which has worked on social and environmental projects across Indonesia, India, Singapore and the UAE.

Our Vision

EcoYouth envisions a world where the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are no longer goals to achieve, but a reality that empowered young individuals can experience — through perseverance, dedication, and collaboration.

“We want young people to go beyond boundaries, to create real impact and see that their small actions truly matter.”

Our Mission

Our Team

EcoYouth brings together passionate young leaders who are eager to contribute to the betterment of society and the planet. By focusing on practical, achievable initiatives, the team aims to make sustainability accessible and social good relatable for today’s youth.

Limbs for Limbless: Restoring Dignity and Mobility

Limb Donation Event

One of EcoYouth’s most meaningful initiatives, Limbs for Limbless, provides prosthetic limbs to those who have lost theirs due to accidents or illness.
To date, the team has donated over 300 prosthetic limbs, helping individuals walk again, regain independence, and return to school or work.

“It was a very emotional day for me to see how the patients suffer. Without a limb, even basic daily tasks become so difficult. I feel truly blessed to be part of this initiative and to see the hope it brings to people’s lives.”
Mr. Vikas Dhingra, CEO of Damai Karya Abadi

Wheelchairs, Inclusion, and Hope

Patients helped this year(2025)

Extending their mission of mobility and inclusion, EcoYouth and Bridge Builders Jakarta partnered with the Saraswati Learning Centre to provide over 60 wheelchairs for children with cerebral palsy.
While these wheelchairs aren’t custom-built, each one represents access to education, participation, and dignity. The initiative is a reminder that compassion, in any form, can bridge barriers and bring smiles to countless families.

Angel Wings and Toy Making: Creativity That Cares

2nd Year BBA students making & learning to stitch the pads

EcoYouth’s Angel Wings initiative, launched in collaboration with Professor Monica, addressed an often-overlooked issue — menstrual hygiene.
The team made washable and reusable sanitary pads from towels and shower curtains, which were later donated to the Rags to Riches organization.

Using leftover materials, the youth also crafted toys out of recyclable items for underprivileged children — combining sustainability with creativity. These projects not only benefited communities but also taught valuable skills and empathy to those involved.

Play It Forward: Sports with a Purpose

Organisers of PLAY IT FORWARD

EcoYouth believes change should also be joyful — and Play It Forward perfectly captured that spirit.
A joint initiative between Jakarta Sindhi Sports Club (JSSC), Bridge Builders Jakarta, and EcoYouth, this two-day community basketball and soccer tournament was held at Beacon Academy.

The event brought together players, families, and peers who came to cheer their friends on. Whether they won or lost, everyone left with smiles — proud to know that their participation supported a greater cause.

The event also featured food stalls, trophies, and gift vouchers, adding to the festive energy. Most importantly, the tournament raised enough funds to donate 30 prosthetic limbs through the Limbs for Limbless initiative.

“Supporting this charity has been one of the most rewarding decisions we’ve made. Knowing that our contributions directly enable people in need to live more fulfilling lives has given us a sense of purpose.
It’s been an amazing opportunity to help build up the communities that need support and create real, lasting impact.”
Vindhya Chugani, CEO of VC Events and Jakarta Sindhi Sports Club (JSSC)

Environmental Stewardship

Ghaf Tree Planting (Dubai)
Pasir Ris Beach Clean up (SG)

Beyond social causes, EcoYouth remains deeply committed to environmental action. From tree-planting drives to community clean-ups, their projects encourage young people to become more conscious and responsible citizens of the planet. Each small action — planting a sapling, reducing waste, reusing materials — is a step toward a sustainable future.

Recognition and Community Support

Recognition by Ministry of Social Affairs

EcoYouth’s dedication has been recognised by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Republic of Indonesia, and the Social Affairs Departments of Jakarta, Bogor, and Tangerang.
However, the team finds their greatest recognition not in certificates, but in the heartfelt gratitude of those they’ve helped.

“It’s a great privilege to be able to help those in need at such a young age. Sharing your blessings with others is something every youth should strive for, and this initiative gives us a wonderful way to do that.”
Karan Nankani, Supporter

Looking Ahead

EcoYouth may be a small group, but its impact continues to grow. The team is now expanding its outreach, nurturing partnerships, and developing new projects that combine sustainability, creativity, and compassion.

“Change doesn’t happen overnight,” says founder Bhavish Adwani. “It’s taken years to reach this point, but every small step — every limb, every wheelchair, every idea — adds up. Together, we’re creating the kind of future we want to live in.”
