This is how I grow coriander.
I put peat free compost in a pot nearly filling it, and then sprinkle
Coriander seeds on to the soil. I then cover the seeds with 6-12 mm compost and then water I put the pots on my windowsill coriander grows best in loam soils (mixture of clay, silt and sand). Since is a herb and has a peripheral root system, it requires sunlight, deep fertile soils with lot of aeration and proper drainage. Loam soil is good for aeration and water retention capacity. It is tolerant to heat, cold and drought
