Dr. Sonia Vashishta Oberoi is an accomplished educator, writer, and thought leader with a Ph.D. in African-American Literature. With over two decades of teaching experience across leading institutions in Mumbai and Bangalore, she has contributed extensively to academia through research in Diasporic Studies, Film Studies, and Feminism, along with numerous national and international conference presentations.

Now based in Jakarta, Sonia has evolved her passion for storytelling into a powerful voice exploring contemporary themes such as body positivity, navigating change, and mid-life transitions. Her work—spanning articles, poems, and short stories—has been featured in publications like The Jakarta Post, Magdalene, and various international magazines.

She is also a skilled facilitator, having conducted impactful sessions on Communication Skills and Conflict & Crisis Management.

Her bestselling book, Life, Love & Us: Stories of Contemporary India, reflects her deep insight into modern lives and relationships.

In her session, Sonia brings a thoughtful and engaging approach—guiding participants through reflection, self-awareness, and practical ways to cope, adapt, and redefine life through personal challenges.

Jyoti Gupta is an experienced educator and former school principal with over three decades of dedication to teaching and school leadership. Her journey began in India, where she first taught under the Indian education system before moving to Indonesia due to her husband’s posting. Since then, she has embraced the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework and served in senior educational leadership roles for the past 20 years. As a mother of two children born in India but raised in Indonesia, blending cultures and calling out lovingly for their Ba (sister), Jyoti brings a deeply personal and cross-cultural perspective to motherhood. She sees parenting through an educator’s lens: nurturing values, setting boundaries, and fostering curiosity and integrity across all stages of learning. Her voice resonates with women navigating purpose, identity, and motherhood across borders and generations.
