Are too many swirling thoughts keeping you awake? feeling upset?

If so, when you hop into bed, decide to think about only one thing rather than repeatedly reviewing the day’s laundry list of problems. As other thoughts start to intrude, bring yourself back to your selected subject. Practiced regularly, this form of focused “meditation” should quickly lead you into dreamland.

To keep goal in Mind, keep in it sight

Write a goal on a notecard a “sticky” and put it in a place where you’ll see it often. For example, if you want to shorten your phone conversations to save time, put a reminder on the wall near the phone that says, “Am I talking on the phone too long?” Remember: A thought-about goal is a wish; a written-down goal becomes a commitment.

Do you make excuses when you’re late?

If you are usually the cause of your own tardiness, it’s time to fess up rather than blaming others, or things, for your own poor planning. When you’re tardy, admit your mistake and make a plan to live up to your commitments the next time. You’ll feel better about yourself and others will appreciate your honesty.
