With all that love has to offer, sometimes self-love is very difficult to attain for some people. However, it is not a want but rather a need. Self-love should be the foundation on how to lead yourself on a daily basis. Guaranteed you will feel better and more in control of your state of mind the moment you begin to do the things that make you love yourself.

The first and foremost state of loving yourself starts with telling yourself how you feel. You donโt need to be accepted by other people to be worthy. Accepting yourself is enough, as that is who you are on a daily basis.
Grab a notebook and a writing tool. Sit somewhere serene and begin to write whatever the things you love about yourself are. Whether it is your talents, your abilities or looks-finding the good in yourself will definitely make you feel better about yourself.
Accept yourself wholeheartedly

Again, you do not need to do the things you do to be accepted by people. That also includes the good and bad sides of yourself. Self acceptance will be even more tougher if you donโt recognize and accept both your traits wholeheartedly.
On the paper, also write down what you dislike about yourself. Afterwards, ponder on the things that you write on the paper. You have both good points and bad points, like anyone else in the world. For that reason, there is no reason to hate yourself for you have as much good points of yourself.
Forgive yourself

With self esteem, comes feeling anxiety towards yourself for the things you did in the past. As in control as you are of yourself, you are bound to make mistakes in the past. These mistakes, however bad and good shapes and forms you to the way you are now.
Judging yourself for the things you did in the past will only drag you further down at this moment. Forgive yourself and letting go will help you with negative emotions in the past. Thinking about the things you did in the past will only bring you negative emotions with no solution, as it all happens in the past.
Give yourself some slack

At times, you are hoping to be able to reach and do the things you want to do. However, that is not how life works and we are not in control most of the time. For that reason, you need to give yourself some slack with your time and energy.
If you are tired and do not feel like doing the essay-then donโt do it. Give yourself some time as a break, do some fun thing that makes you feel alive and then do the essay. This is a much more effective and healthier way of dealing with exhaustion, as you will feel well-rested enough rather than exhausted while finishing the task.
Do what makes you feel good

Most of the time, you do necessary tasks that will benefit you now and in the long run. These things that bring you benefit will certainly pay you off in the long run, but is bringing you stress. What you will need to do is certainly give yourself a break by doing the things that make you feel good.
You can do this by listing out what you want to do and putting it directly to your calendar. Go to that spa treatment you wish for; buy that ticket you wish to go so badly or even watch relaxing YouTube videos on your phone. These activities may seem like time wasters, but in fact these activities give you time to breath and catch a break from your busy schedule.
Nowadays, not many people focus on self-love. Instead, they become consumed by the tasks they are given and pay little attention to their mental well-being. Allowing yourself to rest for the day is a sign that you respect your bodyโs limits and love yourself enough to honor them.
