Happiness Tip 1: Be a ‘Gratitude Fanatic’

Yes, I know this is no surprise. If you know me, you know that this is one of my number one teachings for abundance. But what I am suggesting is not to just to think this is a good idea.
I am suggesting that you actually go a little bit crazy with the gratitude. Spread your “Thank you’s” all around you like a wet dog shaking itself dry, so that no-one is left untouched by you.
Therefore your Happiness Practice, should you choose to accept it, is to:

1. Aim for a 100% thank you rate (i.e. no-one is left un-thanked that does anything for you, big or small)
2. Express your gratitude to the 5 most important people in your life
3. Thank yourself (right now) for being uniquely you

Happiness Tip 2: Drink lots of water

Another really simple tip, but let’s face it. Chances are pretty high that we will all be eating and drinking way too much stuff. And a lot of that stuff is unlikely to be high in nutrient value or water-rich. So to help with the natural flow of our bodies and the ability for it to stay as clean as possible over this period, be conscious about drinking even more water than usual. Simple tip – but effective. Therefore your next Happiness Practice is to:
1. Drink a glass of water in the first 15 mins of waking (bedside table is good and a dash of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar for extra points)
2. Aim for a minimum of (8 glasses a day): 3 glasses of water in the AM, 3 glasses of water in the PM, and 2 glasses of water in the EVENING
3. Drink a glass of water before going to bed (and yes this can be a part of your 2 evening credits)

Happiness Tip 3: Personal Time Out

You deserve and need a ‘time-out’ over the Christmas and Holiday period and I am fully aware that many of you have a very different living environment to mine, where I am able to lots of time-outs through the day in order to stay grounded, creative and productive. One of the main reasons being that I do not have kids (yet) and I am a big fan of outsourcing. 😉 So for those that are challenged with getting time for yourself, I strongly encourage you to make time. Schedule it before the day arrives.
Therefore your Happiness Practice is to:
1. Take a 10-15 mins ‘Time Out’ over the holidays & New Years period (minimum of 2)
2. Do it by yourself (no one else gets an invite – even the dog)
3. Here are options and suggestions of what you may choose to do in this ‘Time Out’:

  • Take a walk in nature
  • Sit somewhere quiet and breathe deeply
  • Write in a journal, book or piece of paper what you are proud of doing or being in 2016
  • Pray or meditate
  • Truly see, listen and feel life unfolding around you (hopefully somewhere peaceful)
  • Lay on your back and look up at the sky and clouds (this might be inadvisable if you are in the northern hemisphere and it is freezing cold)

Happiness Tip 4: Random act of charity

Apparently this is the time of giving and I think we are all pretty good with this and perhaps this is something you are already doing. So well done. My suggestion is to give to someone or something which is outside your normal circle. Someone or something that you are not really connected to. For me, doing this is like planting a little seed that suggests we are all connected in some way. Whether it is a spiritual thing or an acknowledgement that we all came from the same ‘big bang’. However you choose to frame it; this is about recognizing and celebrating our interconnectedness beyond our family, friends and colleagues. That no one is alone, or needs to be alone. Therefore your Happiness Practice, if you are cool with it, is to give to someone or something beyond your normal circle of influence.

Happiness Tip 5: Less head and more heart

This is a biggie. There is mounting scientific evidence to suggest there is a real link between a closed emotional heart and heart health issues. So this one is not just for the feel good factor, which actually feels good. This Happiness Tip is about connecting to, opening up with, and communicating more with our hearts. Less thinking this holiday period and more feeling. Imagine that you are communicating from the heart region, instead of the grey matter in your head. Breathe into your heart more. Connect with your heart. Pay homage to your heart for beating over 30,000,000 times during the past year. Really open your heart up to receiving and giving over this time and you will open the door to a whole new 2013. So your Happiness Practice is to work on your relationship with your heart over this period. Slow down on the thinking and open up to the feeling. You might be surprised as to what is revealed by your hearts intelligence.

My parting words for 2018

Have an awesome Christmas and New Years Eve and an amazing start to 2019.
I look forward to serving you as best as I can in 2019 and beyond. And here’s to you fully expressing your uniqueness and personal strengths in 2019 as you step closer and closer to being the best possible you!

All the very best.
Cheers,

CARL MASSY SIGN

celebrating 19 years of Indoindians

Happy New Year and celebrating Indoindians 19th anniversary on 1st January. 2019!

We have come a long way since we started in 2000 with a mission to connect, support and engage the Indian Diaspora in Indonesia as well as Indonesians with an interest in India.

Indoindians  has become a leading source of news, information and social interaction with over 100,000 unique visitors every month and a growing engaged community, both online and offline.

Indoindians.com continues to be a social, not-for-profit initiative by PT Infotech Solutions to give back.

We invite you to step up to this endeavor by being Indoindians ambassadors, contributors and friends.

What the next year has in store for us is unknown but Indoindians is a key part of the community; going forward, we hope to continue engaging with our wider community with an increasingly varied and diverse range of online & offline activities.

Why celebrate 19 years online, you ask?

Number 19 is an extraordinary number. In ancient times, it was known as the Number of Surrender. It is the prime number that means it is only divisible by itself and number 1.

Number 19 possesses the combined vibrations of two numbers: 1 and 9. Number 1 is the first number in the counting and 9 denotes the last single number.

Number 1 vibrates the energies of uniqueness and independence. It also provides the power of motivation, progress, ambition, and striving forward. It shows that with new beginnings you will achieve success.

Number 9 represents the energies of the Universal Spiritual Laws. It also leads to the spiritual enlightenment, awakening, inspiration, serving humanity, and becoming a good example.

It promotes intuition and problem-solving ability. Overall, it is the sign of completion, an ending that will lead to the new beginning.

So here’s to new beginnings!

Thank you so much for being a part of this amazing journey and connection.

Tai Chi is an ancient martial arts inspired by healing art of Qigong. Benefits of Qigong includes muscle strength, flexibility, balance, endurance and aerobic capacity. Symptoms of illnesses such as asthma, joint pain, fibromyalgia and many more are said to reduce with the regular practice of Tai Chi. The young will benefit from Tai chi by becoming healthy and learn self-defense at the same time; elders are able to reap both the mental and physical energy from this exercise.

Here are some of the places you can learn Tai Chi in Indonesia:

School branches are located in Kelapa Gading, Palembang Jetset, GOR Bekasi and Palembang Sukabangun, where interested students get training. There are also several other locations that provide training classes for children. Tai Chi may be an ancient martial art that is not popularly practiced in Indonesia, but even so it has so much benefits for your mind and body. The only setback to  this sport is the difficulty in finding schools and instructors. But all of the hard work of finding and practicing this art is all worth it, as this is one of the sports that will give your benefits without the heavy intensity and hard work necessary.

Happiness way

By Carl Massy: So welcome to 2019. What do you reckon we make this the best year we have ever had?

In this Happiness Tips I reveal to you what were the three biggest life changers for me when it came to completely enriching my life, adding heaps more joy and finding deeper fulfillment on a daily basis. I will reveal to you the ‘what and why’ and then I will give you specific information that I have personal experience with that can lead you to having similar experiences.

You know; happiness is a choice that requires us to DO certain things in certain ways. What are you prepared to do this year to make 2019 the best year you have ever had?! Come on. Step up to the plate! Don’t be shy. Life is waiting for you.

There are three significant things that I have done in my life that took my level of personal growth and consciousness to a whole new level. In other words they significantly changed the quality of my life for the better. So I thought you might be interested in knowing what were the three things were that I have done in my life and that have made the BIGGEST difference to my level of ongoing happiness.

Number 1: I spent one entire month doing every single great thing I knew to nourish my body, mind and spirit. I ate the best food. Drank the best fluids (which funnily enough did not include boutique beer and fine wine). I did the best exercises. I did the best rituals I knew. I listened to the best information (which didn’t come from CNN or BBC). I adopted the best strategies. I put 10-years of study and research into personal growth and peak performance into practice. And it truly changed my life’s direction.

Number 2: I travelled to different parts of the world on extended sabbaticals (1996, 2001, 2007). I explored other cultures as I explored myself. I let go of my ‘normal’ lifestyle and behavior and turned my vision inwards. I found a state of complete clarity and clearly identified what was important for me in life. This made it real easy to knock back what seemed like great job offers and opportunities because they did not meet my deeper values and clearly identified needs.

Number 3: I attended a number of retreats and self-growth seminars, that taught me things I did not know, in relation to my health and well-being. They also put me in the learning environment, the emotional state and the remarkable company to really make significant changes to the way I was living my life.

So if you have the self-discipline and knowledge to do a month of the best of the best, this will change the course of your life. I also realise that most people don’t have the time or inclination to throw their job in and travel the world (though I am sure that many people are very tempted ;-)). So this month I am going to strongly recommend that you do something for YOU in 2019, and attend a seminar, a retreat or a personal growth course, that takes you out of your comfort zone; that teaches you new material; and that leaves you at the end of the experience a better person.

Let’s face it. Having a holiday or break from work is pretty good fun. Definitely a hoot in parts. But the feelings you experience are often transient. That is, once you leave the banana lounge at the beach bar, clear your system of margarita’s, and return to work; the benefit of that break quickly fade. Whereas doing a retreat or seminar or personal growth course not only refreshes you (because you are not in work mode), but leaves you in a better physical, emotional, mental and even spiritual state.

Have an awesome day too!
Cheers,

CARL MASSY SIGNEmail: [email protected]

libra-astrological-predictions-for-2018

Libra – Very interesting year and depends on how you see it

This year will be interesting, and it will give mixed results for people born of this zodiac. The events will again depend on your time and total birth charts and it is good to meet an astrologer to consult more in detail.

The year will be interesting on many fronts. For those who are spiritually guided it will be enriching as you will experience enriching spiritual experience and journey. Those who are not spiritually inclined will find solace from taking advice form elders especially from father. You will tend to break the order which is not in your nature and hence there will be a conflict.

You would like to focus on family and work but will be able to focus on only one aspect and it will be frustrating because you will see success in both areas. Though you can if need try to focus on both fronts, but it will drain your energy on both fronts as both fronts will give your positive results and you will just be gasping for energy to push harder. Those who are in debt will try to reduce your debt and those who are doing well will increase their bank balances significantly. This is year where you will find short trips and most of the trips may be work related or pleasure.
