Honey Roasted Almonds

Here is a great recipe for some paleo-approved honey roasted almonds. It takes less than 15 minutes to prepare these little treats! Please keep in mind, these aren’t the sweetest honey roasted almonds, but that’s because they’re a bit healthier than most with additionally added sugar.

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups of raw almonds
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions :

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Spread the almonds on a baking sheet or foil and place in the oven for 10 minutes. (By putting them on the foil, dull side up, will help them roast faster)
  • Add the water, olive oil, and honey to a pan over medium high heat, whisking it constantly until they come to a boil
  • Add the nuts and stir constantly until most of the liquid is absorbed (about 2 minutes)
  • Add the salt, and mix for about 1 more minute (Make sure not to scorch the almonds)
  • Spread the almonds on a single layer on a sheet of foil or baking sheet and let it cool before enjoying
