Jaali Waali Chicken Fry or Talii Huii Murgii by Shabana Akbany – a really flavorsome fried chicken recipe which is a crowd pleaser.
1 1/2 kg chicken cut into approx 8 pieces
1 tsp haldi powder
1 – 2 eggs beaten
1tsp chilly powder leveled
2 tomatoes blended
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ginger / garlic paste and 2 -3 green chillies ground
- Boil chicken with all above given ingredients except the blended tomatoes and cook till half done.
- Add in the blended tomatoes and cook till mixture is dry and chicken is tender.
- Cool and roll chicken in breadcrumbs and eggs and deep-fry till golden brown.
- Serve this with tomato ketchup and homemade potato fries.
IMPORTANT TIP: for those who love spicy food – add some ready made chicken masala and jeera powder to the masala’s and cook the chicken.
Serve the fried chicken with chilly sauce or spicy green chutney and lime.
