Jaali Waali Chicken Fry by Shabana Akbany

Jaali  Waali Chicken  Fry or Talii Huii  Murgii by Shabana Akbany – a really flavorsome fried chicken recipe which is a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 kg chicken cut into approx 8 pieces

1 tsp  haldi powder

1 – 2 eggs beaten

Bread Crumbs

1/4-cup water

1tsp chilly powder leveled

2 tomatoes blended

1 tsp salt

Hara Masala

1 tsp ginger / garlic paste   and 2  -3 green chillies ground

Method :

  1. Boil chicken with all above given ingredients except the blended tomatoes and cook till half done.
  2. Add in the blended tomatoes and cook till mixture is dry and chicken is tender.
  3. Cool and roll chicken in breadcrumbs and eggs and deep-fry till golden brown.
  4. Serve this with tomato ketchup and homemade potato fries.

IMPORTANT TIP: for those who love spicy food – add some ready made chicken masala and jeera powder to the masala’s and cook the chicken.

Serve the fried chicken with chilly sauce or spicy green chutney and lime.
