Apples

Apples are known to keep you healthy, just as the saying goes, “an apple a day keeps the doctors away”. However, the benefits are not only limited to our overall health, but also to the skin. Apple masks can be used to lighten dark spots, speed cell turnover, brighten dull skin, decrease wrinkles and improve overall skin texture and tone. Moreover, the Granny Smith and Red Delicious variety contains high levels of collagen and elastin — the protein that gives your skin firmness and prevents wrinkles from forming. You can get all of these benefits by eating one apple a day or apply apple mixed with 1 tablespoon of honey on your under-eyes once a week. Let the mask dry for 10 minutes. Remove the mask by first by splashing in warm water, then cold water.

Cabbage Juice

The cabbage in your fridge has a lot of antioxidants and phytochemicals which are effective on free radicals, one of the primary causes of wrinkles. Vitamin C contained in cabbage juice is also an important component in the production of collagen.

Make your cabbage juice by cutting off ¼ of a head of cabbage into small pieces. Place the cabbage in a blender and puree until it turns into the consistency of water. Pour the cabbage juice into a bowl or large cup. In a separate bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of cabbage juice. Mix everything evenly. The next thing to do is apply the mixture under your eyes and let it dry for 10 minutes. Wash with cold water then warm water to close pores and tighten skin.

Egg Whites

Other than the ingredients above, egg white mask is also an effective kitchen ingredient to reduce under eye wrinkles. Egg whites are effective to increase the production of collagen that is useful for bouncy skin. The process of making the mask is also very easy.
